CARCare
Title: HOW TO:  Change PalmOS® Database Location Setting for Sync


Background:
As a default, the CARCare conduit will sync with the CARCare for Windows database located at C:\Users\Public\CARCare\CARCare.db.  This is the recommended setting.  If your database and/or filename is different from the default value, you will need to manually change a setting so that the conduit can locate your CARCare for Windows database.
 
Changing Your Database Location for Hotsync:

  1. Open CARCare for Windows

  2. Note the database path in the main window titlebar

  3. Close CARCare for Windows

  4. Open Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Data Sources (ODBC)

  5. Double-click on the CARCare User DSN

  6. Click the Select button

  7. Select your actual database location and click OK

  8. Click Ok at the prior dialog and close Control Panel

 
When you re-run the Hotsync process, the conduit will synchronize your data using your new CARCare for Windows database location setting.
